With People work with organisations who provide information to their clients and customers and want to make their work accessible to all. We work with you to help you provide your materials in accessible formats; also known as alternative formats.
You write the document and we convert it into an alternative format such as braille, large print, audio, clear print, daisy, or electronic text. You can be sure the solutions we provide for you have been tried and tested. As an organisation engaging with disabled people we have an ‘in house’ team who can test and evaluate services.
Audio
Your documents can be converted to audio format and recorded on the CD or supplied as an mp3 file.
Braille
If your customers ask for information in braille we can help you to supply this. Simply send us the document by email, or in the post, and we will do the rest.
Large Print
If you have a request for large print we can help you to produce this. Once you know the preferences, if any, of the customer we can create your large print document from your original.
Daisy
You can deliver information in Daisy format for your customers. Send us the original document by email, or post, and we will create the Daisy document on CD for you.
Electronic Text
Where you are asked for an electronic text version of a document we can help you to provide this. We take your original document and convert it into an electronic text version.
Other Formats
Users of accessible formats are individuals and should also be consulted on what alternative format they prefer to use. Sometimes the formats requested can be complex and need differing layout, styles of writing, illustration, and final format. We can help you explore the choices and if you’re not sure then get in touch with us and we will do our best to help.
